The 19 -year -old Teddy Warner is always interested in robotics. His family was in the industry, and he says he was working in a machineist shop while living in high school. Now Warner is building a robotics company of his own, INMPES, which seems to make the robot a little more human.
Intempus is creating a technique to retrofit existing robots with emotional manifestations such as humans to help humans make better conversations with these machines and make better predictions of their movements. Data will also generate data by giving human reactions to these robots, which can be used to train the AI model better.
These robots will show expression through kinetic movements, Warner told Techcrunch.
Warner said, “Human beings get a lot of our subconscious signs, not from the face, not by semantics, but completely from the movement of your arms and your torso,” said Warner. “It extends to dogs and cats and other animals that are not humans.”
Warner said that he got the idea for Intempos while working in AI Research Lab Midzorney. He said that the midzorney, like many other AI research labs, was working on the AI model, or AI model, which decide and decide on the basis of the dynamics of the real world and spatial qualities, as is just the opposite of the cause and impact.
But it would be really difficult for these models to achieve this spatial argument, the Warner realized, as a lot of data was being trained, which came from the robot, which was not a spatial argument, either.
“Robots currently go from A to C, which is observation for action, while humans, and all living things, this is the intermediary by step that we call the physical state,” said Warner. “Robot does not have a physical state. They do not have fun, they do not have stress. If we want robots to understand the world like a human, and be able to communicate with humans in a way that is congenital to us, it is less unnatural, more estimated, we have to give them this step.”
Warner took that idea and started doing research. They started with FMRI data, which measures brain activity by detecting changes in blood flow and oxygen, but it did not work. His friend then suggested trying to try a polygraph (lie detector test), which works by capturing sweat data, and he started getting some success.
Warner said, “I was surprised at how soon I can go from capturing the data of sweat for myself and some of my friends and then train this model that can essentially allow robots to make a emotional creation based on completely sweat data,” said Warner.
It has since expanded to other areas with sweat data, such as body temperature, heart rate, and photoplethicism, which measures the change in blood volume in the subtle levels of the skin, among others.
Warner launched Intempos in September 2024 and spent the first four months on special research. He has spent some of the last few to build these emotional abilities for robots and confuse potential customers. He has already signed seven enterprise robotics partners.
Intempus is also a part of the current corket of Peter Thial's Theal Fellowship Program, which gives young entrepreneurs $ 200,000 in two years to get out of school and build their companies.
Warner said that the next step for the intampus is to rent – they have done everything as a team so far – and get some techniques that have already been made to start a test in front of humans. While Intemposes are currently working on a plan to re -establish and focus on the existing robots, Warner said that he would never rule the Intempos who created his emotionally intelligent robot in the future.
“I have a bunch of robots, and they run a bunch of emotions, and I want someone to come in and just understand that this robot is a joyful robot, and if I can give birth to some emotions, then there are some intentions that there is a robot, I have done my work properly,” said the Warner. “I think I can, you know, really prove that I have done so in the next four to six months.”
