This terrible Samsung camera ruined my day

Soon after Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra arrives, digging through a drawer to my office, I came across a remnant. It was also a compact digital camera built by Samsung, which I bought before a trip about a decade ago.

I have not used it since then, and seeing that I was already testing a Samsung camera, why not another addition to the list? The next day I was out to take photos for my upcoming S25 Ultra Review, and I am happy that I was not relying on the old Samsung camera to document my time, because it would happen Devastated it.

While raising the Samsung ST72 camera, reminded me why I bought it: its size. This Galaxy S25 is less than half of the ultra size and I can easily take it into my pocket or bag, barely knowing that it is there. The back is a sensible-shaped screen, a physical two-phase shutter release at the top, and also has a zoom feature.

I saw the rest of the specification to compare Galaxy S25 Ultra. The main 1/2.3-inch sensor has a 16.2-megapixel and 5X optical zoom, as well as a 3-inch LCD screen. This Galaxy S25 Ultra's 200MP main cameras, 50MP wide-angles and two telephoto cameras are not quite high, but it can match one of the optical zoom mode (on paper).

The problem was that I did not remember whether ST72 took good pictures or not. I know that I used it on a trip, but at that time I was captured with my iPhone at that time after seeing most of my memories back. Was this because ST72 took nonsense pictures? I came to know, and it was not enough for how terrible it is really.

The day out, ruined

Samsung ST72 came out in 2013, but you can still find it for sale on eBay today, and for an attractive low price. I was definitely not getting closer to this comparison as I was not getting closer to the way of giving serious purchase advice expect $ 1,300 Galaxy S25 Ultra to take better photos than $ 120 ST72 camera. I did not expect such a big difference, and it really shows how far things have come.

Start with a basic, simple picture of a church on a very bright winter day. It is very staggering how bad the picture of ST72 is, messy blur and spot in the foreground, in unstable focus, complete lack of expansion, unwanted noise, and no visual pop at all. Even looked on his own, some will be pleased with the picture of ST72 and possibly never returned to the future.

Compare this with the photo of Galaxy S25 Ultra, and there is no competition. I love the colors and visual enthusiasm of S25 Ultra, and the way it really captured the blue sky of amazing winter. The second picture shows a sunset after one day of rain, except me leaving Tell you This is why I took the photo if I had the only evidence of ST 72. Its f/2.5 aperture does not help here, and it is unable to catch the depth of the color that appears to the naked eyes. The photo of S25 Ultra looks great, and no such oral explanation of the scene with the Galaxy S25 Ultra will not be required. F/1.8 aperture means that it is more capable in less or hard lighting, and although the photo is not correct – it is a little smooth and noise – it is clear why I took the photo, and it will be really beautiful with a little editing.

Telephoto is not one-no

At this point I only saw pictures of ST72 on the LCD screen of the camera, and they did not look great then. However, I assured myself that the screen is not doing real photos justice, and continued to take pictures during the day. ST72 has an optical zoom feature like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and thinking that it could be a reason I have chosen it. Nevertheless, when I was not interested or knowledgeable about cameras or photography, I clearly wanted the versatility of a competent zoom. However, I had to be very disappointed with the results.

There is such a big difference between the two 5x zoom photographs of the bridge, it is practically impossible to assume that the pair technically uses the same feature. Separating the picture of ST72 seems like a waste of time, as if you have never seen any picture before, SometimesYou will still know that it was nonsense. It is generally higher with a digital zoom photo taken with an aging smartphone, with a competent 5X optical zoom of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

How lucky are we

Did ST72 completely fail? There was a picture where I think it did it Little Galaxy S25 Better job than ultra. The picture of the budding flowers wrapped in the paper of ST72 is taken inside a shop, in a good way, compared to the photo of S25 Ultra. Colors are natural, white balance is effective, and also has a decent level of expansion. The picture of S25 Ultra is saturated, and I am not sure that this exposure is correct.

However, a picture cannot save Samsung ST72, nor can it be a beautiful shape and shape. It is not a completely Samsung camera that one should be used in 2025. If my day was one where I really wanted to catch memories, it would have ruined them. It is really surprising how much the difference between a digital camera is 10 years ago and today's smartphone. Certainly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is very expensive, but I think all but the worst smartphone camera will still defeat ST72 in a back-to-back test.

This highlights what our phone cameras are able to do, how bad we are, and after reusing ST72, I think I hid it all those years ago because I was different from its ability. At that time I would have the option of Apple iPhone 5S, Nokia Lumia 1020, and LG G2 smartphone, and I am almost sure that everyone took much better pictures than ST72.

Little Samsung camera is going back to its drawer, where it reminds us that we are installing such excellent cameras with us all day, because based on the actual photos, it is all good. As the camera of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it looks great, but other more relevant comparisons show what it really has to do, what to do to take it, and defeat your peers.
