The long -awaited Hyundai IonIQ 9 is on the way at the end, after the wait of the months what many hope will be a true contestant to the Kia EV9. Electric SUVs are likely to be one of the Go-Two options for those who want a larger EV at a lower price than the choice of Rivian R1. But, on the way – the most popular EV, is a refreshing for the model Y – as the Tesla model Y Junipar.
When it comes to things like performance, range and charging, both vehicles are slightly different. Is Hyundai IonIQ 9 additional cash worth, or should you go to a small car yet? We put heads with two heads to find out.
design
The overall design of Hyundai IonIQ 9 and Tesla models Y is very different, and this can be enough to increase your purchase decision. IONIQ 9 is a true SUV; It is larger and boxy, and when it looks slightly smooth than some SUVs than its curved roof, it is clearly larger than the Tesla model Y. The Ionic 9 is distinguished in blocks such as a long light bar pixel that helps the vehicle give a unique design motifs. Behind the IONIQ 9, you will find pixel lights around the sides and above the trunk. IonIQ 9 is 199.2 inch long, 78 inches wide and 70.5 inches high.

While the Tesla model Y has been out for some time, this model is getting fresh as a design as Y Junipar. The update vehicle swaps more traditional headlights for a light bar that is divided into three parts. It coupled with another light bar on the back. To make sure, if you have seen a Tesla before, you will immediately recognize the model Y. It still looks a lot like Teslas other than the new cybercate.
Finally, the design is subjective, so we are not going to give a win here – you have to decide for yourself which vehicle you like. He said, as you can tell, IonIQ 9 is a fair.

Internal and technology
The large construction of IONIQ 9 translates to more location inside. The IonIQ 9 has three rows of seating, and we hope that the model Y Junipar will eventually have three rows, given that the previous generation model has an option for three rows seats. Nevertheless, while the three -rows seats will be standard at IONIQ 9, this will only be an option for the model Y, if it is absolutely available.

The internal design of the model Y matches the general design of Tesla. It is minimal and smooth, with a large -scale empty dashboard that is only interrupted by large infotainment display. This performance is how you will interact everything about the vehicle – including real infotainment, tracking speed, gear, and so on. In other words, there is no instrument monitor behind the steering wheel. Thankfully, Tesla's software is considered to be largely best. For model Y Junipar, Tesla has added a secondary performance as well as some additional accent lighting for other-rich travelers to control its own climate zone and other settings.
The IONIQ 9 takes a more traditional approach, offering two front-and displays-for an infotainment and an instrument for monitoring. While Hyundai's infotainment software is not as good as Tesla, IONIQ 9 supports CarPlay and Android Auto, which helps reduce it.

Ultimately, the IonIQ 9 has more room and supports the carplay, while the model 3 is more modern and Tesla has its own better software. Then, you have to decide what is most important for you.

Display
The overall performance between these two vehicles is slightly different. The Tesla model Y is designed to be quick despite its low price, while the IONIQ 9 is designed for more comfort.
It is not necessary that IONIQ is 9 slowBut its acceleration is not breaknakes like some contestants. IONIQ 9 will be available in three separate powertrains at 9 launch. The base model will have a 215-horsepower motor rear wheels. Step from there and there is an all-wheel drive model that adds 94-HP motor to the front wheels. The performance AWD variant replaces that lower-power front motor with another 215-HP. The base model will be able to grow from 0β60 mph in 9.4 seconds, however, the performance AWD version is increasingly 5.2 seconds acceleration time.

There are some things that we do not yet know about the performance of the model Y Junipar. The rear-wheel drive version of the model Y Junipar is currently available in China only only, and has been rated as being able to accelerate 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. When it is launched in the US, its acceleration time will be slightly less up to 60 mph (96.5 km/h). The all-wheel drive version of the vehicle being sold in the US can get up to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, which is very effective. There is no word yet on the performance version of the model Y Junipar.
Safe to say, Tesla model Y is slightly more impressive than IONIQ 9 when it comes to performance. Wins here.

Range and charging
The IONIQ 9 has been announced, but it is not yet available for purchase, and we do not know the exact limits of all models. We know that Hyundai says that all the launch models of IONIQ 9 will offer a range of at least 300 miles, which is a great start. We also know that the long range RWD model will have a 335-mile range. At the top of a decent limit, the IonIQ 9 can also quickly charge. It is built on an 800-volt architecture, and supports charging speed up to 350 kW, which is the fastest charging speed that you can now get in public chargers.

There are not many things about the range of Tesla model Y Junipar. The RWD model Y is a 593 km range sold in China, which is 368 miles. CLTC in China, which assesses the EV range, is usually more generous than the EPA in the US – so the possibility of those numbers will be slightly lower when the vehicle arrives in North America. He said, the currently available all-wheel drive model Y Junipar in the US is 320 miles. The Tesla model supports charging speed up to Y 250KW, which is not too early as IONIQ 9.
Given the fact that vehicles have a uniform range, but IOONIQ 9 has a sharp charging speed, it wins here.

Pricing and availability
Hyundai IonIQ 9 has been announced, but it is not yet available. It should be available for some time in early 2025. We do not know how much its cost will be, but it will probably be the same price as the Kia EV9, which starts at about $ 55,000.
The Tesla model Y is available for some time, but the fresh model Y Junipar is in the early stages of its rollout. In the US, you can currently get only a special-sanskara version of a vehicle called Launch Edition New Model Y, which has some special styling, and costs $ 59,990. If you order it at the time of this writing, you will receive it in March 2025.
Nevertheless, at least we have specific pricing and a date A The model Y version and, even when both of them are available, will probably be cheaper. It is the winner here.

Overall winners: Tesla model Y
These vehicles are very different. The model Y, however, is more powerful and cheaper than IONIQ 9. This said, you should still consider Ioniq 9 if you are looking for a large vehicle with three rows and support for things like carplay.
