Private 5G networks are dramatically changing the methods of operating several industries, and now 5G is also changing the hospitality industry. A hotel in Florida has already become one in the US to deploy a private 5G technology to give high-speed wireless access to its guests and to unite all its features.
Working in collaboration with private money management advisory firm GFO investment and airspan network, Gayle south beach Rolling a private 5G network solution that it is expected that the hospitality will serve as a model for the rest of the industry.
The hotel, a Curiio Collection by Hilton Property in Miami Beach, already claims several innovative high-technical features for its guests. For example, a Google Nest hub in each room allows guests to order the room service with a simple “O Google” request.
The new private 5G network will further enhance the guest experience by offering seamless network coverage during complete convenience, both indoors and outside.
This means that guests will have access to hotel networks and digital facilities whether they are in their room, going on one of the dining outlets, or hanging out of the roof pool.
Private 5G networks will also be used to help connect integrated technology within the hotel together, including Google Nest Hub in each guest room. They will be able to use a hotel-provided app that is going on in their room, whether they are on property to control and control it.
Russell Galbut, president of GFO Investments, said, “This new technology will provide the fastest and most responsible digital connectivity to the hotel guests, which affects guest engagement and operation of the hotel.” “Launching on Gayle South Beach will open new doors to hotel businessmen, allowing operators to bring revolution in their offerings in in-room and hotel complexes, with new technology.”
Private 5G networks will also be used by hotel staff to keep them associated with voice and data applications that no matter where they are. This includes intranet and internet access application and push to talk (PTT) services.
5G benefits for hospitality
Large hotels and resorts face many problems similar to the University and industrial complexes. They have a lot of area to effectively and firmly cover with traditional Wi-Fi networks.
However, these challenges are increased in the hospitality industry. From check-in counter to in-room facilities and hotel facilities, their guests are expected to provide the best-in-class service.
Handling the busy environment of a large resort is something for which 5G technology is ideally favorable. The extensive range, low delay, and ability to handle many more equipment means that hotel operators do not have to worry about network congestion, leggings connections, or dead spots that are more specific of Wi-Fi network.
Using 5G, the hotel systems can rapidly communicate with each other in a wireless manner, rapidly allowing the improvement of room services in automatic check-in and check-out processes to improve and reduce waiting time.
Gayle South Beach also hopes that its high-speed 5G network will face several challenges that guests have made in the past, when an attempt is made to set up videocanferences and virtual meetings.
