E3 2022 is canceled, physically and digitally

According to a series of reports, E3 2022 has been canceled both digital and in-traditions. After expecting an in-tradition event earlier this year, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has informed its partners that there will not be a digital event this year.

The news of the incident of stopping for the year comes from a tweet by Razor PR lead will power. Power said that they received an email before the cancellation of E3 digital, before the ESA made an official statement. That tweet was later confirmed by various partners and presses.

Just found an email … It is official, it is officially canceled for E3 Digital 2022. Many mixed feelings about this …

This is not the first time the E3 has been canceled. The 2020 show was closed during the first year of the epidemic, with only digital returns in 2021. Some people hoped that the show could return to in -tradition in 2022, but those hopes were collapsed in January when ESA canceled the live show due to the Covid -19 Omikron variants. When ESA announced that news, it did not confirm that an E3 showcase would be at all in 2022, although some believed that it meant a digital pivot.

In an IGN report, Sources associated with the incident claim that a potential digital E3 has been discussed since the cancellation of the physical counterpart. However, lack of speed allegedly stopped ESA's plans.

IGN sources states that ESA is planning to re -organize for a big return in 2023. ESA has so far claimed an official statement that anything is being planned, announced the official cancellation of a possible digital event alone.

Digital trends have reached ESA for comment and we will update this story when we listen back.
