While the portable monitor is around for a few years, the Asus is showing a new idea in the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show. Asus Proart Pa147CDV is a 14 -inch portable panel, with some tricks its own sleeves. Unlike traditional portable screens, PA147CDV comes with a more unique – and narrow -1920 x 550 aspect ratio.
This is the complicated aspect ratio that not only raises the PA147CDV against the competition, but the narrow screen seems to be like it can burst directly from one of the company's several laptops with a secondary touch display.
Asus Zenbook 14X OLED was seen as a screenpad of Asus and screenpad 2.0 on the MacBook Pro model of the company as a contestants of Apple's touchbar. However, the screenpad was larger than the touch bar and could display more information, making it more useful.
As a stand-alone and portable screen, Asus PA147CDV is pitching as an innovative productivity performance for content creators-this supports for digital inking with WACOM EMR and Microsoft Pen Protocol 2.0, which makes it a good cannousing, drawing, driving or writing it. Asus includes one of its unique innovations – asus dial. The first-party surface of Microsoft allows asus dial manufacturers to reach equipment and adjustment in software supported on the side of the PA147CDV, such as Adobe Photoshop and LightRom Classic, the company claims.
For material creators, PA147CDV also comes with features that are standard for space – like a color accurate performance. PA147CDV Calman has been verified for color accuracy and the company claims that the screen factory is pre-calibrated. It supports 10-bit color, 100% SRGB and REC. 709 color spaces, and it comes with an underlying kickstand for use in portrait or landscape orientation.
While a secondary screen that is made in laptops can display useful information, it is not clear that a stand-alone screen, especially as a narrow and compact as PA147CDV, can add meaningful value to a manufacturer's workflow. If you have a desktop location for this narrow display and the cable does not feel bad-then the display has an HDMI port and two USB-C connectors-so this display can be an interesting to add to your setup.
The company performed automatic color adjustment with its pro-projector A1, its OLED PA32DC monitor, for automated color adjustment with a color meter, and the PA348CGV panel at the NAB show.
Pricing details for PA147CDV were not immediately available, although the company revealed that the narrow panel is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2022 in North America.
