Season 2 of Marvel rivals is coming close to its midson update next week, and today we got our first glimpse of some changes in the game.
Marvel rivals season 2.5 updated is a very important refreshing for rivals, which is struggling with decreasing steam player numbers in all seasons (not a complete picture, but currently in about one-third part of the average players compared to January) and a player's base that is rapidly disappointed with each other.
What is the treatment for all this? To add one of the most awaited new heroes and to make Jeff-Nado to make the Jeff Landshark team to bend the full bore in the zainness by the Jeff's team.
Here we have learned about the season 2.5 update of Marvel rivals from today's developer vision video.
Marvel rivals season 2.5 start date
Season 2.5 shut down next Friday, May 30, UTC. We do not have an accurate start time, but the game for these major season updates go to offline between night ET/PT and return online in hours of the date of launch.
New hero: Ultron
The beginning of season 2 was officially announced, Ultron may be the most famous “secret” by joining the roster as a strategist that has been hidden since the launch of rivals. If you asked me last year, in which role the Ultron was most likely to slot, I would have estimated a duality or pawn, but the unique treatment is a welcome change for a free-uplift strategist role with mechanics.
The video of Ultron shows us a strategist that can jump into the air to avoid divers and who has an attack range to take the enemy's flyers. This can make her a great counter-pick for some enemies comps, but we will definitely have to wait for her full kit details to know.
I would like to see more strategists with unique mechanics such as Loki's clone or invisible woman's slopes-I enjoy the shoot-to-heal strategist gameplay, I think the game looks in a better place in a better place when there is more diversity in the roster. So I was happy to see that the ultronon's ultimate “Big Heel in a Circle” is not another variation, such as the ultimates of most strategists-instead the ultronon shoots a series of rapid-fire beams that heals allies and harm enemies.
It is not a Loki dopelgangger, but it is something different.
New map: Ark
As usual, the midseason update adds a new map with the new hero-this time, we are receiving the island of Arakko, Krakoa's former sister island (new map of season 2.0), which is mechanized by X-trrona, the version of the ultronon which was rebelled through the revival chamber of Crokoa. The map appears to be a payload map-kafile or possibly convergence-saves the purpose towards a disciplinary destination with the heroes.
New team-up and a group of changes in balance
According to the latest developer vision video, the middle patch of rivals is surprisingly heavy. The game is adding six new team-ups, a new team-ups for a new, as well as two new team-ups between the Iron Man and Ultron-the upper Jeff-Nado, as well as the ability to use the co-ordination of Venom (in?) To shoot healing tendrils on colleagues. Luna can also give Snow Hawkai a stunning snow arrow; Rockets and Penny strengthen each other's deploymentable capabilities; And the Panishar gives a piercing upgrade to the rifle of the black widow.
In turn, season 2.5 will say goodbye to the four previous team-ups, including the infamous symbot bonds, with Venom players an additional damage to Spider-Man and Peni Parker, which helps to melt your backline. Apart from this, Luna Snow and Jeff's ice combo, Hawki and Black Widow's Afferimage Team-up and rockets for rockets and Panishar are the overloads. In addition, Iron Man will no longer benefit from the team-up with Hulk (although Namor still does).
The rivals also addressed the current Metagame, it was stuck with mobile dive compositions (cap, iron fist, human torch), wall-and-bullet comps (pairing with other middle with grown, Winter Soldier and Mr Fantastic) and triple-strigette compositions with “Rock-Popper-Cancel-Stregati compositions” It does not feel like the most fair an analogy, as the gods indicated both the latter as to combat high dynamics comps, rather than being a true (theoretical) rock-pepper-match rather than where each composition is strong against one option and weakened against the other.
Nevertheless, developers are shaking things with balance changes in season 2.5, and the result is that Strange and Magneto are being buffed up, while grots, caps and Emma are hit with frost nerfs. Mobility-centered duality is getting Neerfs with iron fist, human torch and Pisilocke, while Punish, Storm and Squirrel girl will get “minor” buffers. Dev Vision was the only strategist Luna Snow mentioned in the upcoming balance tweex of the video, the last charge of which is another Nerf, which is offset by “light boost” for his other abilities.
I am a bit worried about some of these changes on paper. It is okay to target overproofing heroes, but heroists such as Punish and Squirrel girl feel rage. I am not a fan of buffing “noobstomper” heroes in relevance, but I will wait until I see the details and actually feel things in the game before really panic. It is also slightly disturbing that rivals focus on increasing the final charge requirements for Luna Snow to Luna Snow, rather than that it is less than an eternity.
Other changes: new strategy mode, emoji
Perhaps the biggest wonder in season 2.5 was in addition to a new experimental mode called Battle Matrix Protocol of Ultron. It is an autobatler that allows you to choose a team of six heroes, increase their capabilities and highlight them against the opposing teams. I have zero experience with autobators such as the teamfight strategy of the Harthastone Battleground, but it was fun to see a large -scale poison on the battlefield as it was looking at a called one with six (I count) with active turrets.
The game is also presenting emoji, finally allows you to express your disdain for the teammates begging for the teammates, while Spider-Man and Iron Fist behaves you like a punching bag.
