The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is hot even at $1,400

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Splash

Xiaomi finally made the Mi 11 Ultra official earlier this week, giving us a full-fledged premium flagship phone. Between the IP68 rating, the impressive rear camera setup, and the large battery, it’s clear that Xiaomi is targeting Samsung, Apple, and other ~ $ 1,000 players with this device.

But what should I do? Android Authority Readers are thinking of the phone now that it was announced at a price of € 1,200? We asked readers if the phone was hot or not and so they voted.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra: hot or not?

Results

This poll received a total of 2,589 votes, and just over 80% of those polled thought the Mi 11 Ultra was actually hot. It’s understandable why people think the phone is a great thing. Aside from the premium features mentioned above, you also get 67W wired / wireless charging, that neat secondary rear screen, and a top notch main screen.

However, just under 19% of the readers surveyed voted for “not”. Presumably, the $ 1,200 price tag drove these users away from the device, although one comment points to the presence of a hole cutout and another about the weight of the phone.

We did a survey back in February when the phone first leaked and the prices weren’t known. The results at the time showed that 79.4% of respondents thought the phone was hot, making the most recent survey a negligible increase. These latest results suggest that Xiaomi may be giving the flagship a solid rating. It’s worth noting that the similarly equipped Galaxy S21 Ultra retails for € 1,249 in Europe.

Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 Ultra in India on April 23rd and we will definitely be excited to see what pricing is in the market.

Remarks

  • Cyco: I’m running out of hole punch.
  • Farhan Ahmad Tajuddin: The 8K video resolution for ultrawide and telephoto cameras sounds tempting, but the 8K adoption is far from far. Perhaps the Pro variant is more than good enough as it still has the same Samsung ISOCELL GN2 main camera sensor as in the Ultra.
  • Hochuha: Much too heavy for everyday use.
  • Bart: IF the Ultra was priced at $ 700, I could say hot – but not over $ 1000
