Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra renders leak showing a chunky rear camera
- Renders of the Samsung Galaxy S30 Ultra have been leaked.
- They show a phone with a huge camera bump and a quad camera setup.
We recently heard a rumor that Samsung’s next flagships might arrive earlier than usual. It seems that this also applies to their leaks. After rendering the Samsung Galaxy S30 (or whatever Samsung calls it) Tipster has OnLeaks aka Steve Hemmerstoffer too leaked renders for the Galaxy S30 Ultra.
The design of the Ultra model appears to be almost identical to the Vanilla S30, albeit with a few differences. You will immediately notice that the rear camera body is much larger. Hemmerstoffer claims that it is almost twice the size of the Galaxy S30 and contains a total of four camera sensors. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know the camera configuration, but points out recent rumors that the phone might have dual zoom lenses, as well as wide and ultra-wide sensors.
Looking at the image above, you might think that the rear cameras are flush with the phone body. However, a side profile of the device shows the camera bump for what it really is (see pictures below). Although Samsung changed the placement of the case a bit, it can still remain quite clunky.
The total area of the phone is 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm. This is almost the same as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The display also retains the centered hole and is said to measure between 6.7 and 6.9 inches. Again something as big as what you get with the current top flagship of the Galaxy S. The tipster claims that the display of the Galaxy S30 Ultra is slightly curved at the edges in contrast to the flat screen of the Galaxy S30.
Elsewhere, you’ll see the volume and power buttons on the right edge of the phone and a USB-C port at the bottom. Hemmerstoffer confirms that there is no room for an S-Pen in the phone, but doesn’t entirely rule out the possibility that it could assist one.
That’s all of the information that this latest leak contains. You can expect to see a lot more in the days ahead as the series’ launch approaches.
