Nokia X50 rumored to come with 108MP penta camera, 120Hz display

Nokia reportedly plans to add another new device to its lineup of 5G-enabled smartphones in 2021. According to Nokiapoweruser, The company, devoted to Nokia news and leaks, is working on a Penta camera phone to replace last year’s Nokia 8.3 5G.

The publication also claims to have acquired the specs of this upcoming device. According to the leak, the Nokia phone is powered by the unreleased Snapdragon 775 processor with model number SM7350. The chipset is believed to be a successor to the Snapdragon 765G with a notable increase in performance.

Elsewhere, the follow-up of the Nokia 8.3 5G is also said to be equipped with a 108MP primary sensor. Ultra-wide, depth, macro and telephoto sensors can complete the Penta camera package. Zeiss could readjust the optics and the phone could get OZO audio just like the Nokia 8.3 5G.

The leaked Nokia phone’s display is expected to measure 6.5 inches and have QHD + resolution. It’s also rumored to have a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The battery also appears to be heavily upgraded. The Nokia 8.3 5G worked on a 4,500 mAh battery, while the new phone is said to increase the capacity to 6,000 mAh.

As for the name, the phone is likely to override Nokia’s decimal point naming convention. The company recently categorized its phones into the X, G, and C series. According to the leak, this new device could fall under Nokia’s X series with the X50 moniker.
