New iPhone SE is Apple’s most affordable phone but doesn’t feel cheap
Apple announced a second version of the on Wednesday. Rumored for months with different names, including and SE 2, the budget phone essentially stuffs into an iPhone 8 body. We haven’t seen it in person yet – Apple hasn’t had a traditional event and instead announced the new iPhone in a press release. So we have to wait until we can check it to see if it’s a good phone.
But based on what Apple showed this week, the new SE is wisely following the successful recipe for the original 2016 version and is promising.

The iPhone SE for $ 399 is the cheapest Apple phone
At a time when the “value” iPhone 11 costs $ 699 and the flagship 11 per and 11 per max Cost $ 999 or $ 1,099, an option that more people can afford is welcome. Like the original when it was launched, the new iPhone SE is the cheapest iPhone you can buy. In fact, it starts at exactly the same price of $ 399 as the original SE.
It’s a perfect time for an affordable phone. WithThe Millions of us rely more than ever on a phone to stay in touch with friends, loved ones, or work. At the same time, millions of people are in financial need. If you are in an unfortunate situation where you need a new phone or cannot repair a damaged phone, today’s announcement offers some relief.
With the price of $ 399, the SE stands next to a growing amount of inexpensive Android phones, including the upcoming Moto G Power and($ 249 or $ 300) that $ 400 and the heavily discounted Google Pixel 4, which is currently selling for $ 500. There is also Google Pixel 3A from last year, which normally costs $ 399 and is now selling for around $ 300.
Little phone lovers unite
Although Apple introduced the original SE a few months after the larger iPhone 6S, its body was more based on the older iPhone 5 and 5S. The SE had a small 4-inch screen (the iPhone 6S had a 4.7-inch display), but its small size was one of the reasons people longed for it.
Like many other people, I was hoping. Instead, Apple took and redesigned the body of the iPhone 6, 6S, 7, and 8, as well as the 4.7-inch screen of these phones. While that makes it much smaller than the 6.1-inch iPhone 11 and the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro, I wonder if it’s small enough to persuade little phone lovers to upgrade from theirs original iPhone SEs.
Apple has made clever compromises in terms of functions
When Apple installed the A9 processor and camera of the iPhone 6S in the original SE in 2016, not all functions followed. The situation is similar with the new SE. It offers a lot of what the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro offers: a True Tone display, fast charging (although you’ll need to buy a quick charger), and wireless charging, and it’s IP67 for dust and water resistance, which means that it can survive for 30 minutes under 1 meter of water.
The new phone has one iOS for years to come. Apple has an excellent experience of supporting older devices with software upgrades.Processor that is the same one used in the 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The advantage here is that it is faster than the iPhone 8’s A11 processor and can run new versions of
You won’t find the double or triple rear cameras from Apple’s current flagship devices. Instead, it has a single 12-megapixel rear camera (with a 28mm 1: 1.8 lens) that is less wide than the main camera (with a 26mm 1: 1.8 lens) the 11 and 11 Pro.
The new camera can take photos in portrait mode (both on the main and selfie cameras). There is also Apple’s excellent SmartHDR, which you can use to optimize every detail in your images. You can record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second or with an expanded dynamic range of up to 30 frames per second. There is even cinematic video stabilization for the front and rear cameras.
Apple has not confirmed whether the new camera supports night mode. And of course there is no popular ultra-wide angle camera. But those are smart victims to get a small version of an iPhone 11 for $ 399.
Pre-order or wait for iPhone SE?
Apple has faithfully reproduced the most important aspects of the original SE. ButWell, I can’t tell you right now. I have to test the new iPhone SE first.
However, if you are still using an original SE and are familiar with a new phone that has a small magnification and a huge increase in features, functionality, and future viability, the new SE is definitely worth considering. And for those of you who want oneyou look
