Netflix is pre-installed on all LG smart TVs, which makes it incredibly easy to access. All you have to do to get started is log into your account. If you later find that you can’t go back to your favorite episodes of Dark or the Great British Baking Show, here’s how to fix it.

Check your network connection and enable Netflix

The first step in fixing most problems is to make sure that you are actually connected to the internet. If your LG TV isn’t plugged in, it makes sense that Netflix isn’t working.

First, test that your internet works on another device like a phone or a laptop. If it works on another device, try resetting the connection on your TV. You can also reset your modem and router if you can’t connect your TV. This should give them enough time to completely shut down and then plug them back in.

Once you’ve reset your Wi-Fi connection, it can be helpful to check the status of Netflix. The platform has an official support website that should notify you of any issues.

If Netflix itself gives the green light and your WiFi is working fine, you may need to continue with our later steps.

Netflix has different content libraries in different locations due to strict agreements, and it’s not friendly to regulate rule breakers. You may need to go back to your home market to fix the service.

For example, if you’ve set your location to Australia while you are actually in the US, you may get banned from Netflix. Instead of giving you access to a country’s library, Netflix will keep you away until you’ve resolved your situation.

In this case, proceed as follows:

  1. Press the Home / Start Button and open the launch bar
  2. Find the the settings Gear in the upper right corner.
  3. Choose All settings at the bottom.
  4. Click on General on the left.
  5. Choose place.
