LG debuts two new CineBeam 4K HDR projectors

LG has unveiled its two most advanced projector to date. Both LG Cinebeam HU715Q and HU710P have 4K resolution and HDR capabilities with 2,000,000: 1 contrast ratio. Both models will be available in the first quarter of 2022, and LG released pricing on 28 February.

HU710p will be retail on $ 2,500. It uses a hybrid laser -led light source, which LG says that a color does not require a wheel, and can produce up to 2,000 lumens of brightness. HU715Q, which is a large, ultra short throw model, only uses laser lights and produces 2,500 lumen. Both projector will work in most indoor settings, but LG says that they can also be enjoyed outside after sunset.

HU710P provides more flexibility in terms of image size, with a range that extends up to 40–300 inches. But as a traditional front-firing projector, you will need a greater distance from the projector to the display surface: about 9.5 feet for a 100-inch image. However, unlike other front-firing projector, HU710P has a high degree of caston improvement, which gives you the projector quite an off-angle from a dead-century position. HU715Q is more space-skilled, which offers you an image of 80 to 120 inches from a distance of about 8.5 inches, which makes it suitable as direct TV replacement. It costs $ 500 more, weighing $ 3,000.

Both models have a 20,000 -hour light source of life, which LG says that a standard projector is four times the long life of the bulb. They are powered by LG's webos software and are equipped with AIRPlay 2 and Homekit Technologies of Apple. With dynamic tone mapping and filmmaker mode, both units should be a good choice for films – in fact, LG says that they were “especially designed for film lovers and residential home markets”. But LG has not given us any glasses for the characteristics that will care about the gamers, such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto low-altency mode (alm), or 4K gaming at 120Hz.

Each projector has three HDMI ports (one with HDMI EARC) and two USB 2.0 ports. The high-end HU715Q also also plays a set of quad woofer built with support for the 2.2-channel stereo sound at 40 watts. When you connect the projector to one or two Bluetooth speakers, you can upgrade to surround the sound. For its share, HU710P has a set of 10-watt stereo speakers.
