LG Gram 2021 laptops

  • LG has introduced five new laptops in the Gram series.
  • All laptops have 11th generation Intel Core CPUs and 16:10 displays.
  • Three of them promise up to 19.5 hours of battery life.

LG unveiled five new laptops in its Gram series ahead of CES 2021, ranging from 14-inch to 17-inch models. The new LG Gram 2021 series features an updated design with narrow bezels surrounding the screens with an aspect ratio of 16:10. Last year only the 17-inch model got the large format display.

Other upgrades under the hood include Intel’s 11th generation core processors, Iris Xe graphics, LPDDR4x memory and up to 16 GB of RAM. This time the Gram laptops are also Intel Evo certified, which gives them a basis for fast wake-up times, fast performance, fast charging and long battery life.

Speaking of which, LG claims the 2-in-1 Gram 17, Gram 16, and Gram 16 could get you up to 19.5 hours of battery life. All three laptops have 80 Wh batteries, just like the 16-inch and 17-inch models from last year.

Elsewhere, the Gram laptops continue to be very portable, with the largest Gram 17 weighing just 1.3 kg. The lightest model is the 14-inch model, which weighs only 999 g.

Both the 16-inch and 14-inch 2-in-1 models of the new Gram series are equipped with a Wacom AES 2.0 pen for navigating, writing and drawing. All models, including the Gram 17, Gram 16, Gram 14 and the two hybrids, have fingerprint readers.

There’s no word on pricing and availability just yet, but LG may announce that during its CES 2021 virtual conference on Jan. 11.
