NASA is preparing for the launch of the next generation weather satellite on Tuesday, March 1, and you can watch the incident online.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be launched from Cape Canvarted in GOES-T Florida, GOES-T Florida, which is riding in the Atlas V rocket operated by the United Launch Alliance.
The next generation of Goes-t NOAA is the third satellite in the Goes-R series and-bus if you are not yet confused enough-so it will be nominated, GO-18 once reached the Geostationary Orbit on GO-18. Goes-16 and Goes-17 were launched in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
According to NASA, the network of satellites will enable meteorologists to accurately monitor and forecast local weather events, which affect public safety, including thunderstorms with thunderstorms, tornado, fog, storm, flash floods and other extreme weather events. It will also detect environmental hazards and monitor them, among them wildfires and volcanic explosions.
The Go-T will cover a wide area, produced by Lockheed Martin and with a mission period of about 15 years, including the US West Coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America and Pacific Ocean.
Commenting on the upcoming mission, NASA launched site integration manager Michael Rodello Said: “As a Florida resident, I experience the benefits of Goose Satellites during every storm season, and I am eager to follow Goose-T once it is turned on.”
Rodello said: “Goose satellites also monitor the space season and the images that arise are always surprising – I am excited about amazing images that this mission will bring us.”
NASA shared images of 6,000 -pound satellite inside the rocket fairing in preparation for the recent launch day.

NASA will make its way into blasting and space from Ula's Atlas V Rocket Cape Canveral Launchpad. Depending on the locations of the camera, real -time footage may also have a view of the rocket's eye as the launch vehicle climbs over the Earth.
