Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free to play, support 120 FPS
Halo Infinite will offer its multiplayer segment in a free package and support 120 FPSdeveloper 343 Industries said in a tweet on Friday. The confirmation comes after the Irish subsidiary of the British retailer Smyths Toys published details of Microsoft’s new shooter on an advertising page, as previously reported by The Verge.
“Halo is for everyone,” says the tweet from the official Halo account. “We can confirm that the # HaloInfinite multiplayer is free to play and supports 120 FPS on Xbox Series X. More details will be released later!”
The earlier leak was confirmed by Twitter user Klobrille, who also found that the game’s arena will include a Battle Pass system and customization options that are “brand new” for the series.
It’s unclear how the free-to-play and Battle Pass elements go with Microsoft Xbox Live Gold andPrograms that allow you to access Xbox multiplayer.
Microsoft did not respond to a request for comment.
Regardless, the company addressed concerns from some fans regarding the graphics of the game after aduring the past week .
“The build that ran the campaign demo had been in progress for a few weeks. A variety of graphical elements and game systems were still being finished and polished,” wrote John Junyszek, community manager at developer 343 Industries, in a blog post . “The team is working on plans as quickly as possible to take into account some of the feedback on detail, clarity, and overall fidelity.”
Halo Infinite and Xbox Series X are starting this Christmas season.
