Cyberpunk & Witcher Devs Announce New “Sci-fi Thriller” FPS Game

Recently, the developers behind Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, and Dying Light announced a new sci-fi thriller FPS video game, “The Invincible”. The ambitious project of the seasoned developers is based on a 1964 science fiction novel by Stanisław Lem, a well-known Polish author.

The Invincible is in the hands of Starward Industries, a studio comprising the former developers of The Witcher game. The game was developed on Unreal Engine and will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2021.

The story of “The Invincible” takes place in an alternate universe where the Cold War never ended. With humanity already doomed, scientists have developed advanced tools for space exploration.

According to the game description, in “The Invincible” you will play as a space scientist stuck on the hostile planet “Regis III”, in search of your lost crew members. As you uncover the plight of your crew members, you will uncover dark mysteries on the planet.

In the game, you will have to use advanced space equipment to survive the dangers of the planet, while relying on your brain and your survival instinct.

CD Projekt Red has revealed some screenshots from “The Invincible” to tease the environment of Regis III, which looks a lot like Mars. In addition, some screenshot show the player using space gear while navigating the unwelcoming atmosphere of the planet.

Apart from that, you can also listen to the official music of the game which is pretty good.

The Invincible promises non-linear and diverse gameplay. It also means that your choices and relationships in the video game will affect the storyline.

To be fair, the concept of The Invincible sounds fascinating, and we can’t wait to see some gameplay footage from the game.
