Concept art for supposed Google Pixel Fold looks cool

TL; DR

  • A designer on YouTube named Waqar Khan created a concept video of a Google Pixel Fold.
  • This is not Google’s “real” foldable phone (which may or may not exist), just an idea of what it might look like.
  • The designer envisions a hybrid between a Galaxy Z Fold and the confirmed Pixel 6 designs.

We’ve heard a lot of rumors about the idea that Google is launching a foldable phone this year. We can’t be sure that it will happen, but we will say this: Google is hideous To keep secrets. Chances are we would have seen it by now if the company had landed a foldable phone this year.

Regardless of the validity of a Google Pixel Fold landing in 2021, it’s fun to imagine what it might look like. This is exactly what YouTuber Waqar Khan did. The designer uploaded a video showing imaginary renders of what a Google-branded foldable phone might look like. The video is mirrored above.

Khan doesn’t venture too far into the left field with the imaginary design. Essentially, this foldable concept looks like someone put a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and a Google Pixel 6 Pro together. It looks a bit clunky, but the idea is solid.

If you want to take a closer look, Khan has also uploaded some 8K render images, which you can see here.

We expect Google to launch the Pixel 6 series on October 19th or somewhere nearby. As I said, it’s very unlikely that we’ll also see a Google Pixel Fold at this event, but we assume anything is possible.
