  • Beats introduced flex wireless earbuds that sell Apple technology for $ 50.
  • They support audio sharing and easy pairing and are charged via USB-C.
  • They will be delivered on October 21st.

Apple charges a premium for its wireless earbuds even under the Beats brand, but you’ll have to reset expectations after today. It introduces Beats Flex earbuds, offering some (if not all) of Apple’s clever wireless audio technology for a much cheaper price of $ 50.

The Beats Flex are a behind-the-neck design like the BeatsX and are reportedly providing a “high quality audio experience” at a lower cost. The highlight, however, is an Apple W1 chip that allows audio to be shared between iPhones, iPads, and Apple TV boxes using AirPods and Beats headphones, not to mention easy pairing. These features make the most sense when you are deep in the Apple ecosystem and can’t find high-end features like spatial audio, but you don’t have to worry about some benefits anymore.

You can still see some benefits if you are an Android user. The Beats Flex promises up to 12 hours of listening and charging via USB-C, and a 10-minute charge provides 1.5 hours of playback. A Beats app on Google Play offers quick pairing, status, and updates when you’re not on the iPhone.

Some common beats touches are here too. Music will automatically pause when you glue the buds together with magnets, and the flat cables should be kept relatively free of confusion. However, there is no mention of water resistance. So you should pass the flex on if you’re looking for workout-ready earbuds.

You can now pre-order the Beats Flex in black and yellow through Apple before the October 21 release date. Other retailers will have them on November 21st. The flex buds will also be available in blue and gray, although these colors won’t be ready until early 2021.
