- The Apple subsidiary Beats could soon launch the Beats Studio Buds.
- The true wireless earbuds were discovered in Apple’s betas tvOS 14.6 and iOS 14.6.
- They feature a stemless design, which cements rumors that Apple may drop the stem on future AirPods as well.
Appel’s AirPods have looked more or less the same over the years, with a stem hanging from the earbuds. Many brands have copied Apple’s unique design over time, but it looks like the company is finally ditching it for a stemless look, at least for its new Beats wireless earbuds.
MacRumors Contributor Steve Moser Found images of the new True Wireless Beats Buds floating around in the betas of tvOS 14.6 and iOS 14.6. The headphones, known as Beats Studio Buds, differ from all previous models from the Apple brand. They don’t have ear wraps like the Powerbeats Pro. Instead, they’re tiny and feature an in-ear design that is similar to Google’s Pixel Buds.
The leaked images show that Apple’s Beats Studio Buds will be available in red, black, and white. They also come with an oval charging case.
It is said that Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro could also have a stemless design. The company is reportedly testing a more rounded shape similar to the Beats Studio Buds shown here.
