A new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer starring Keanu Reeves played during the NBA Finals
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2020. Today, during the first game of the NBA Finals series between Miama Heat and the LA Lakers, we saw a new ad for the game starring Keanu Reeves.
The game is slated to be released on November 19th.
Cyberpunk 2077 was also at the center of a broad debate about video game development and “crunch”. Since the game’s release date is so short, CD Projekt Red – the developers behind the game – will go into what studio head Adam Badowski calls a “final sprint”. According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, this means a mandatory work week of six days for Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red had previously promised that developers would not have to “grind” the game.
“This is one of the toughest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” Badowski said in one Declaration published on Twitter“But everyone is well compensated for every extra hour they invest. And as in previous years, 10% of the annual profit our company generates in 2020 will be shared directly between the team.”
